Arun District Council awarded over £17,000 to fund innovative energy project

Arun District Council has been awarded a charitable grant of £17,600 to deliver an innovative energy project which will help tackle fuel poverty across the District.

The funding comes from a nationwide programme designed and administered by fuel poverty charity National Energy Action (NEA). The Technical Innovation Fund aims to facilitate community-level trials of innovative solutions utilising measures not traditionally within the scope of current fuel poverty and retrofit efficiency programmes.....

Empty properties become new homes

 

Arun District Council has approved its first-ever Empty Homes repayable loan which has been used to bring a house in East Preston back into use.

The property had been vacant since October 2014 and the owner contacted the council after receiving a letter from Arun explaining what financial assistance could be available to help make the home habitable again....
