PROPOSED EXAMINATION
DIRECTION
Pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 9 of schedule 4B to the Town and County Planning Act 1990, as inserted by schedule 10 of the Localism Act 2011, IT IS ORDERED AND DIRECTED that a hearing be held in order to consider oral representations from interested parties to assist the Examiner in his Examination of the issues in the case.
REASONS
1.After the conclusion of the Consultation carried out by Walberton Parish Council between 18 August 2015 and 29 September 2015 pursuant to Regulation 14 of the 2012 Regulations, and after the publication of the submission of the Walberton Neighbourhood Development Plan between 21 October 2015 and 2 December 2015, and after the Examination Document Library had been submitted to the Examiner, such submission date being by 4 December 2015, Walberton Parish Council made further representations to the Examiner by emails dated 10 December 2015 and 16 December 2015. Such emails appeared to raise fresh material in so far as the position of the Walberton Parish Council is concerned.
2.The Examiner is required to hold a public hearing where it is considered that oral representations are needed to ensure an adequate examination of an issue or issues, or to ensure people get a fair chance to put their case.
3.The Examiner considers that in the circumstances it is appropriate to hold an oral hearing so that all the issues in the Examination can be fully and properly considered.

Reg. 5 and 6 - Area designation The designation of a neighbourhood area is the first formal stage in preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan (see the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012). The approved Designated areas within Arun District Council’s Local Planning Authority Area (LPAA) are shown in the Neighbourhood Areas Designation Map.pdf [pdf] 2MB Parish and Town Councils are able to continue work on their neighbourhood plan while the proposed geography of the neighbourhood area is being determined. Arun District Council is committed to publishing all applications received in its LPAA (in accordance with The Town and Country Planning Act 1990, The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 Part 2, Regulation 6). NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following Town/Parish Council has applied to Arun District Council and the South Downs National Park Authority (if applicable) for designation of Neighbourhood Area under Part 2 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
