Free CPR training for Littlehampton traders, employees and residents

 

Learning how to use a technique which could potentially save lives is an essential skill for all the community. Arun District Council is providing free Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training sessions in Littlehampton.

In partnership with Arun District Council, the traders have asked the local Community First Responders (CFRs) to provide this free CPR training. The sessions, which will be run at the Arun Civic Centre in Littlehampton, will give people basic skills in applying CPR. A defibrillator was recently installed in the High Street by Littlehampton Traders’ Partnership with support from local businesses, residents and the British Heart Foundation....

Rabbits that were running amok at a village recreation ground will now be batting on a sticky wicket thanks to fencing funded by Arun District Council.

The Burpham Village Committee approached the Joint Downland Area Committee for help because the dilapidated perimeter fencing was allowing rabbits to cause damage to the Recreation Ground by digging holes...

Panels prove to be ‘worthwhile investment'

Funding provided by Arun District Council helped make the Arundel Festival more attractive this year.

A grant of £1,728 was given to the festival organisers by the Joint Downland Area Committee to pay for panels surrounding the venue.

Previously fencing and a combination of banners, hoardings and placards have been used but the Arundel Festival Committee wanted the new panels to act as a more attractive alternative....
