Arun District Council’s Home Energy visiting service has been praised as an example of best practice by the energy charity National Energy Action at a national award ceremony in Manchester after winning the Community Action Award earlier this year.

Home Energy Visitors Jo Williamson and Emma Pagett were invited by the charity to give expert evidence to an All Party Parliamentary Fuel Poverty and Energy Efficiency Group of MPs on the dangers of fuel poverty....

Don’t wait for the knock on the door 6 October 2015

Householders in Arun are being asked to return their annual canvass form – or be ready for a knock at the door.
Over 74,000 household enquiry forms were delivered to every address in the district over the summer to enable residents to check their electoral register details. There are still more than 20% of the forms outstanding and reminders have now been sent out where responses have not been received.
