Local Development Scheme (LDS)

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is a public project plan identifying which local development documents will be produced, in what order and when.  It sets out the work programme for the preparation of the statutory development plan over a 3 year time period. 

The Draft Local Development Scheme (2025-2028) was considered at Planning Policy Committee on 18th March 2025.  The Committee agreed to recommend the LDS, as drafted, on to Full Council for final approval in May 2025.
