World Rivers Day - Sunday 24 August

River Arun World Rivers Day is all about celebrating the waterways of the world. It is a day that highlights the importance of rivers, aiming to heighten awareness and encourage people to preserve our important and beautiful rivers.

Why not take a walk along the River Arun and take in our wonderful countryside - this river is 37 miles (60 km) long, it is the longest river entirely in Sussex and gives its name to Arundel. The source of the Arun is a series of small brooks (known locally as ghylls or gills) in the St Leonard's Forest area, to the east of Horsham.
