World Cancer Day - 4 February 2024

world cancer day

World Cancer Day is an international day marked on 4 February to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.

It’s a well-known fact that finding cancer early can help your chance of survival and recovery. Most of us have been affected by cancer in some way, either personally, or have friends, work colleagues or family dealing with, and fighting this disease.

Closing the Care Gap is an important campaign, celebrating progress that enables more people to seek and receive the care they need and deserve. It is about realising the need to fight for fairness and highlights how everyone can get the support they need, and how together we can help those affected by cancer.

We can all make a difference, large or small - together we can make real progress in reducing the global impact of cancer.
