Windmill Entertainment Centre update - 10 November 2023
Thank you for your patience while officers have been busy supporting the lead agencies in dealing with Storm Ciaran. The adverse weather meant that the roof work on the Windmill Entertainment Complex was halted for a few days to ensure the safety of our contractors. Work has resumed.
The demolition of the remains of the neighbouring Harvester has exposed the exterior wall where the Windmill met the Harvester building. We can confirm that as part of the demolition work, the contractor working for Mitchell and Butler (Harvester) will ‘weather’ that wall and we do not expect any issues to arise from its exposure.
It is not unexpected to have a few surprises as part of a project such as this, and we have experienced some water leaking into the studio room. Our loss adjuster is aware of this and is liaising with relevant parties to agree a solution.
