Wild Wednesday!

Wild1 Welcome to our new regular feature - Wild Wednesday!

Wildflower meadows can contain up to 40 species in one square metre, according to The National Trust.

Not only do these meadows feed pollinating insects such as bees, beetles, butterflies, and moths, they also support other creatures such as spiders, reptiles, amphibians, bats, and birds.

At the Council we are working hard to not only protect this vital habitat on our land but to also expand it. We currently have approximately 7000 sq./m sown, with an aim to expand this by 10% per year.
