Westcourt Surgery and Arun Wellbeing joint event in Rustington - 12th March 15
With spring on the horizon, it’s a great time to spring clean your lifestyle and make some small changes that can make big differences.
Is it time to increase your activity levels, stop smoking or lose some weight? If so, Arun Wellbeing Team can help. We are a friendly and free service, supporting people in making small lifestyle changes to improve their health. Our advisers can also share with you their knowledge of local groups and activities which may be useful to you and your family.
One local resident worked with a Wellbeing Adviser for a little over two months lost two stone by increasing activity. She started to use the Wii Fit at home, started swimming and made small changes to her eating habits. The improvements she has made to her lifestyle has had a wider positive effect with all members of the family eating more fresh fruit and trying new foods. Although the individual received ongoing support and encouragement from the Wellbeing Adviser, the weight loss was a result of her own hard work and dedication.
The Arun Wellbeing Team are proud to be working in partnership with Westcourt Surgery in Rustington to offer a series of monthly drop-ins for their registered patients, starting Tuesday 17th March during the morning and afternoon surgeries, so why not come along and have a chat with an adviser about how we can support you, or have one of our FREE Wellbeing MOTs?
Our Wellbeing MOTs use body composition scales to tell you how hydrated you are, give an indication of how strong your bones are and also tell you how much internal fat you have. MOTs are available to everyone above the age of 18 and are a great way to get you thinking about what small changes you could make to improve your general health.
