West Green Car Park, Littlehampton - temporary closure

Text: West Green car park, Littlehampton. Temporary closure. Blue background with a yellow circle in the top left corner, with a a yellow 'i' in the middle. Arun District Council logo bottom right corner. Following the closure of West Green car park in Littlehampton yesterday (Wednesday 29 January), the car park has been
re-inspected today and due to more anticipated rain, the overflow area will need to remain closed for the next few days. With drier weather forecast, this will be revisited next week.

The contractor delivering the Littlehampton Seafront Scheme project is working hard to complete improvements to the tarmac area so this can be reopened to the public in a few weeks' time. At this time of year there several locations without on-street parking restrictions, such as Windmill Rd and Arun Rd (please adhere to yellow lines and signage) and town centre car parks are only a short walk from the seafront.

The overflow area has been kept open for as long as possible, however, as previously advised, there has always been a risk that a period of wet weather would cause this closure and we apologise for any inconvenience, caused. Temporary work to improve access has been considered however the significant costs this would incur has meant that unfortunately, this temporary closure is necessary.
