Statement from Southern Water
We have notified Arun District Council and the Environment Agency about a release of untreated wastewater from the 5km long sea outfall at our pumping station in Littlehampton on Friday evening.
Beach walks this morning have shown no signs of debris and specialist modelling has demonstrated there is no impact on bathing water quality, so the beach remains open as usual.
