Severe weather provision for homeless community in Arun District
As the cold weather arrives, Arun District Council confirms that in partnership with charities Stonepillow and Turning Tides, it is operating two winter night shelters from 2 December 2019 to 2 March 2020. One in Littlehampton and one in Bognor Regis.
The Littlehampton shelter accommodates up to eleven people and will be run from the United Reform Church in Littlehampton by Turning Tides. The Glenlogie Hub, in Bognor Regis is run by Stonepillow and accommodates up to sixteen people.
A local connection to the Arun District is required to access the service, as follows:
- Glenlogie Hub, Glenlogie House, Clarence Road, Bognor Regis – individuals need to present at the Hub on a Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday between 9:15am and 2pm.
- United Reform Church, 1 High Street, Littlehampton – individuals can either present at the Turning Tides breakfast club run from the church 9-10:30am Monday – Thursday or via a referral from Arun District Council
