Scam alert - be aware!
The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has made Arun District Council aware of a scam.
An SMS (text) is circulating which makes specific reference to a payment relating to Household Support Fund (HSF). This message is advising that residents are eligible for £900 from HSF if they click on a link and pay £1 for their bank details, so that the money can be paid. There are other messages relating to cost-of-living payments and a UK Home Office notification – these are all scams.
The DWP does not publish any applications for download to mobile devices or personal computers.

The DWP Counter Fraud Cyber teams are aware and are taking necessary action.
