Please keep our promenades clear of vehicles!
Message from our Foreshore Officer:
Our winter beach views are stunning and I understand that many of us like to take time in admiring the beauty of where we live, however it is worth remembering our Byelaws | Arun District Council. These include:
"No person shall, ride, drive or park any vehicle drawn or propelled by any mechanical power on any part of the seashore or promenade."
"Every person who shall offend against any of the foregoing Byelaws shall be liable on summary of conviction for every offence to a penalty not exceeding £100".
Please do not drive along or park on our promenades to have a look at the sea - we have had quite a few people driving along the promenades and parking up for a winter picnic lately, which is very dangerous. Thank you for your cooperation.
