November means Movember – 2023
Movember also known as Men’s Health Awareness Month, is an annual global campaign that encourages men to grow moustaches and participate in various activities to raise awareness about men’s health issues, and it is celebrated for the whole month of November.
Movember originated in Australia in 2003 when a group of friends decided to grow moustaches to raise awareness about prostate cancer and depression in men.
It also addresses other issues including such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health challenges, and suicide prevention and gives a platform for men to openly discuss their health openly, seek support, and take proactive steps towards a healthier and happier life, leading to early detection and intervention.
Over the years, Movember has contributed to significant advancements in men’s health research and has encouraged men to take charge of their well-being.
Some of our male officers are taking part in Movember so we’re looking forward to spotting the new moustaches around the office!
