Men's Health Week - Cllr. David Edwards

Cllr. David Edwards

Men’s Health Week took place between 14 – 20 June, but we’re focusing on it this week as we brought you This Girl Can Week last week. We’re sure you’ll all agree discussions about Men’s Health are important and shouldn’t be limited to just one week. Throughout the week we will be sharing stories from our male Councillors. Today we hear from Cllr. David Edwards.

" I’m training for a parachute jump in August, it’s a “frame of mind” thing more than anything else, but it dynamically affects my mental wellbeing.

As someone who suffers from PTSD I need to stay on top of my demons, and the best way of doing this is to push my body. I try and train this way, with a large pack, at least twice a week, and also just walk to supplement the training. My biggest challenge is to eat more healthily and I will be taking advantage of Arun District Council’s Wellbeing team in order to help me do that."
