Men’s Health Week took place between 14 – 20 June, but we’re focusing on it this week as we brought you This Girl Can Week last week. We’re sure you’ll all agree discussions about Men’s Health are important and shouldn’t be limited to just one week. Throughout the week we will be sharing stories from our male Councillors. Today we hear from Cllr. David Chace. 

" Here I am with my football clubs away kit on, however this picture does show I have put on a few extra pounds during our recent lockdowns. I didn’t really think much of it until a short break I had to Weymouth last week where our room was on the top floor and 47 stairs later I was really shocked how out of breath I was. So now I am going to be more conscious about my health and weight loss, more fitness and exercise, with the target of losing two stone. 

I would encourage you all to become a bit more conscious about weight, fitness, etc,  because we are not always as fit as we think we are. 

Also don’t forget your regular check-ups, and keep in touch with your mental health all of these are important to your general wellbeing. "
