Local Land Charges team win national award for second year running
The Local Land Charges team at Arun District Council has won the Customer Satisfaction Award for Local Authority Searches at the 2022 Land Data Local Land Charges Awards for Excellence.
This is the second year running the team has won the award. The team at Arun District Council are also the only local authority to have won or been highly commended for an award every year for the past seven years!
For this award, solicitors and licensed conveyancers around the country were asked to nominate and provide feedback on the local authority local Land Charges Team that they believe consistently commits to delivering a high level of customer service. They were asked to consider quality, efficiency, reliability and value for money when making their choice, over 100 votes were received.
Cllr Andy Cooper, Committee Chair of the Economy Committee at Arun District Council said:
“To achieve such a prestigious award for customer satisfaction is testament to the hard work and commitment shown by the council’s Local Land Charges Team. This is a great achievement, and we are delighted that the team have secured this award for Arun District Council for the second year in a row.”
Andrew Simpson, Senior Development Manager at the Coal Authority, who sponsored the award, commented:

The national awards celebrate the work and achievements of local authority Local Land Charges departments which carry out the land and property searches required for conveyancing transactions in England and Wales. The winners were announced at a virtual awards event held on 9 March.
