The seafront is a hive of activity with different parts of the project really taking shape. The toilet block roof is complete and following checks to make sure it is waterproof the scaffolding will be removed. The next step will be to start work inside the cubicle areas.

The main structure and brickwork of the foreshore building is nearing completion and then work can begin on the roof. The water play sub-contractor is working on the final stages of the circulation system so that it is ready when the water and electrical supplies are connected.

During the coming weeks the contractor will finish laying the surface crates and soil in the overflow car park ready for seeding. Lamp posts will be also installed, and concrete will be poured to create the climbing wall structure.

The four concession kiosks are due for delivery in early April so that service connections can be made.  Arun District Council's Property and Estates team is seeking final expressions of interest for the kiosks from operators who need to submit offers by 11 April 2025.  Details can be found via this link Commercial property to let | Arun District Council

Please remember that West Green car park will be temporarily closed from Monday, 24 March to Friday, 28 March for resurfacing work. Alternative on-street parking will be available on Windmill Road, South Terrace and Arun Parade, or within East Green car park on Sea Road. Affected permit holders have been contacted directly with information about parking arrangements.
