Jobs and cost of living fair hits the mark
On Wednesday 5 April we ran a Jobs and Cost of Living Fair at the Arun Leisure Centre in Felpham, organised and managed by our Journey to Work Team, in partnership with the Job Centre.
Over 50 different organisations participated, both employers and cost of living support agencies. Employers included, Roll Royce, the Navy, the Fire Brigade, Cuff Miller and Tristram Plants, with support from Citizens Advice, Bognor Food Bank, Portsmouth and Southern Water. The council were represented by our HR team, Wellbeing team and the Journey to Work team. WSCC support included School Transport and Shared Lives.
We had approximately 400 people though the door throughout the day, which is our highest attendance yet. More than 80 job interviews were offered on the day! The event was a great success and we hope it provided opportunities and support to Arun residents.
