Hotham Park Cafe almost complete
The finishing touches are being applied to a magnificent café in the midst of Hotham Park.
The outside of the Bognor Regis café blends in with the surrounding trees and lake giving diners the perfect place to take in the beautiful scenery once it opens soon.
A lighting scheme has been designed to create a safe pedestrian route from the Hotham Lodge car park to the café. The design is sympathetic to the park’s heritage and minimises the impact on wildlife and local properties by keeping the light closely around the chosen pedestrian access route.
There are also a few uplighters to highlight specimen trees along the route, and lighting within the House Clock Tower to show off its architectural splendour.
Councillor Gillian Brown, Leader of Arun District Council and Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, said: “I am delighted with the progress that is being made on building the café in Hotham Park. We expect it will be open in the near future but if you are enjoying a nice sunny day in the park why not take a look at the outside of the café for yourself?
“The café is now looking absolutely fabulous and once it is open it will be a real addition to Bognor Regis offering visitors, families and residents somewhere to relax and enjoy this fantastic Green Flag park and its surroundings. The café is one of many ways the Council is transforming Bognor Regis into a wonderful place to live, work and play.”
