Flood and weather warnings
Coastal flooding is affecting the beach and surrounding area at Climping.
With more rain forecast for later this afternoon and evening, river and sea levels are expected to rise further, and more areas in Sussex may become affected.

The public is advised:
• Do not enter flood water, either on foot or in a vehicle
• Avoid areas where flooding is reported. This currently includes the centre of Hastings and Climping Beach. Be aware that some roads may be closed.

• Further heavy rain is forecast this afternoon and this evening • Be aware that forecast heavy rain and possible flooding brings a risk to any outdoor activity tonight.
• Only call 999 in an emergency, do not use it to report other flooding incidents.
• Unless your illness or injury is life-threatening, please call 111 and do not attend A and E.
