First stage of Regis site transformation revealed

The first stage of the transformation of the vacant Brewers Fayre site was revealed this morning, following the installation of vibrant graphic designs to the facade.

The graphics are the first stage of Arun District Council’s creation of a temporary welcoming space to enliven the site over the summer, while plans are developed for longer term uses of the premises.  Next week will see the introduction of seating and planting, as well as signposting to local businesses.

Neil Taylor, Arun District Council Regeneration Lead, said, “We appreciate the importance of the Regis Centre site to the Bognor Regis community. We are therefore pleased to be working with the BID to enhance the outside of the building, creating a welcoming space for the community and visitors to enjoy over the summer in conjunction with Place St Maur. At the same time, the theatre rejuvenation plans are moving forward at pace, with our planning application expected to be submitted in the next few weeks.”
