Election day is next week – are you ready?

 

With the UK Parliamentary Election taking place next Thursday, 4 July, are you ready to vote?

Postal votes must be sent in good time to be received by the Acting Returning Officer, Civic Centre, Maltravers Road, Littlehampton. BN17 5LF by 5pm on the day of the election. Postal votes can be hand delivered to polling stations before 10pm on 4 July. It is important to remember that there are new government rules for postal votes that are hand delivered rather than sent by Royal Mail. A Returns Form must be completed to accompany your hand delivered postal vote, or your vote won’t be counted. Staff at polling stations can provide this. Postal votes | Arun District Council

It is a government requirement to provide valid photo ID or a Voter Authority Certificate (VAC) to enable you to vote in a polling station. More information about that is found on our website: Voter photo ID | Arun District Council

Please check your poll card to make sure you know where you polling station is. You will be able to vote between 7am and 10pm on Thursday 4 July 2024. The Count for the election will take place overnight once polling stations have closed.
