Text: General Election 4 July 2024 Information. Arun District Council Logo top right. Image: White background, animated multi coloured hands reaching upThere are just three weeks to go until the UK Parliamentary General Election so we thought we would share a reminder of key dates to note.

The deadline to apply for a new postal vote or to change or cancel an existing postal vote is 5pm on 19 June 2024.

Requests for new proxy votes must be received by Arun District Council by 5pm on 26 June 2024.

You should all have your poll card by now. If you do, this means you are registered and don’t need to register again.

If you have registered in the last few weeks, you will receive a poll card shortly. If you haven’t registered, then you only have a couple of days left to do this – the deadline is 18 June 2024.

Details of how to register can be found on the Arun District Council website https://www.arun.gov.uk/registration

When you get your poll card, don’t forget to check your polling station details in case they have changed since the last election. Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday 4 July 2024. The Count for the election will take place overnight once polling stations have closed.
