In January 2021, Arun District Council launched an automated planning application notification service (Planning application finder (arun.gov.uk).
This service allows members of the public to sign up to receive an automatic notification in their inbox of any planning application submitted within a chosen radius of a postcode or address.
Since the launch, over 2,000 people have signed up to use this service. It is used over 5,000 times monthly to view current planning applications, and 122,000 emails have now been sent.
