The Arun Events Team have given consent to and organised over 250 events in 2023…and increasing year on year, with over 80 applications already planned for 2024!
Events are widespread, inclusive and reach out to adults and children across our district, with the aim of engaging our community. We work closely with local resident groups, organisations and charities to help them deliver events they are passionate about. We are keeping local community traditions and long-established events alive whilst introducing new and innovative events and activities across the district.
Many of these events take a lot of time and consideration to organise. We offer all the help you need via our application process, which includes health and safety, promotion, funding, licensing, public liability insurance and risk assessments, to name a few.
Arun is often a film set! Our district provides the backdrop for many films and documentaries due to the natural and historic interest in this area. The BBC filmed its ‘Our Sea Forest’ episode for its ‘Our Lives’ series documenting the flourishing, rich sea life off our south coast.
Arundel provided the backdrop to a new comedy and true story film, ‘Wicked Little Letters’, starring Olivia Coleman, to be released in February 2024.
