Department for Business and Trade visit
The Leader of Arun District Council, Cllr Martin Lury, visited GB Electronics (UK) Ltd in Littlehampton on 7 November, as part of a business visit requested by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), and organised by Greater Brighton.
As part of a group which included ten government officials, he met with employees at the company which offers a range of electronic manufacturing services and fosters local talent, with more than 70 staff working across four sites. The morning was spent at the business technology firm Focus Group in Shoreham.
The day before, the Cllr Lury and Dawn Hudd, CEO of Arun District Council, had travelled to the University of Brighton to meet others on the business and trade visit.
The visit was arranged to highlight the potential the Greater Brighton region, which includes Arun, holds for international tech companies who want to set up and grow their companies in the UK.
