Council Tax Reduction (CTR) Discretionary Award
If you are already claiming council tax reduction but still have a shortfall between your weekly council tax charge and your reduction award that you are struggling to afford; you can apply for a discretionary award to top up your reduction and give you time to adjust your finances to find a permanent way to pay the shortfall.

These payments come from a limited fund so once the fund is gone, it’s gone for the year.
