Be healthier this winter

Would you like to be healthier this winter? Perhaps a free healthy eating and weight management course run by Arun Wellbeing could help?
The 12-week course will give participants clear explanations about healthy eating, exercise and weight loss.
Participants will learn about how to live a healthier lifestyle, make small and meaningful changes to their diet in order to achieve positive results and take part in 30 minutes of beginner physical activity with a qualified instructor.
Councillor Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “The winter months can often be a time of overindulgence but it doesn’t have to be that way.
“Participants taking part in this course will learn useful tips which will allow them to make healthy food choices during the festive season as well as eating what they enjoy in moderation.
“The courses are inclusive, fun and friendly and are designed to encourage participants to support each other as they journey together towards a healthier lifestyle.
“Over the last three years 79%* of those who have completed the courses have reported at least one lifestyle change and 55%* have lost three percent or more of their body weight.
“Making one or two simple changes can help improve people’s health and happiness.”
The session takes place every Tuesday from 15 November 2016 until 14 February 2017 (excluding Tuesday 27 December 2016 and Tuesday 10 January 2017) from 6.45pm to 8.15pm at the Arun Leisure Centre, Felpham Way, Bognor Regis.
