Arun residents to receive important voter registration information 11 Aug 2015

Is the information held on the Electoral Register about your household correct?

That’s what Arun District Council will be asking via a form which will be hitting doormats across Arun from 10 August 2015.

The Household Enquiry Forms are being sent as part of the Council’s annual voter registration canvass.

The aim of the form is to ensure that the Electoral Register is up to date and to identify any residents who are not registered so they can be encouraged to do so.

This is particularly important for anyone who has moved address recently.

But don’t worry if you’re confused, the envelope will also contain a leaflet explaining how to complete the form as it can be done online, by text, by phone or by returning the paper form.

Nigel Lynn, Chief Executive at Arun District Council and also Electoral Registration Officer for the district, said: “Anyone who wants to vote must be registered. To make sure you are able to have your say at any elections in the coming year, simply check the form when it arrives and return it as quickly as possible using any of the methods listed.

“If you’re not currently registered, we’ll send you information explaining how to do this or you can just go online to apply to register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.”

Any residents who have any questions can contact the elections team at elections@arun.gov.uk, or by phoning 01903 737616
