Arun parks wow again with Green Flag status at six parks

Green Flag award On Tuesday 23 August we celebrated six parks and gardens in Arun retaining their prestigious Green Flag Awards.

Flags were raised at Brookfield Park, Mewsbrook Park and Norfolk Gardens in Littlehampton, Old Rectory Gardens in Felpham, Marine Park Gardens in Aldwick and Hotham Park in Bognor Regis.

Council Leader Shaun Gunner, Cllr Alison Cooper and Cllr David Chace joined members of the council’s Greenspace Team, gardeners from the council’s contractors, Tivoli Group Limited, and a dedicated team of volunteers to see their hard work rewarded.

The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
