Arun Leisure Centre, Felpham, Bognor Regis - Fire Update
Following the fire at Arun Leisure Centre yesterday we can confirm that the ‘dry side’, which covers the gym, main hall, courts, studios etc, was reopened as normal this morning. The electrics and fire alarm panel for those areas have been checked and cleared.
Structural engineers are undertaking checks to ensure the pool area is safe to re-open. An electrical engineer will also need to carry out checks and repairs to any electrics and lighting that may have been water damaged. Freedom members will be able to use the facilities at the Wave in Littlehampton in the meantime, and Freedom Leisure staff will be in touch with those who have lessons or parties booked.
Ensuring the safety of the public is paramount and we ask for patience while the necessary work is done. Everyone is working as quickly as possible to return services to normal.
