Bands and charges
Bands table
Most domestic properties are subject to Council Tax. There is one bill per property, whether it is owned or rented. Each property is allocated to one of eight bands according to its value on 1 April 1991. The Council Tax band for your property is decided by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) not the council. For a property that wasn’t in existence in April 1991, the VOA have different ways of deciding the band of a property.
