Testing for asbestos

We do not offer an asbestos testing service. If you’re not sure if you have asbestos in your property, there are companies that will take samples and test for you. You can find many of them online.

If in doubt, do not do any DIY or building work that would disturb materials that could contain asbestos until they have been tested. 

Removing asbestos

Depending on the type of asbestos product, you will need to hire licensed professionals to remove asbestos from your property and safely dispose of it.

We do not remove asbestos from properties.

Disposal

You can take small amounts of cement-bonded asbestos to local household recycling sites.

The closest household recycling sites that accept cement-bonded asbestos are Worthing and Chichester.

All other asbestos products need to be disposed of by a professional asbestos clearance company.
